Two ways to get your tree

Walk out and cut a cypress from the rows, or pick a Fraser fir that is already cut. Both are on the farm every open day while they last.

Choose and cut cypress

Soft, feathery cypress grown here on the farm. Pick your tree in the rows and cut it yourself.

Pre-cut Fraser fir

Already cut and roughly 6 to 9 feet. Fraser fir is the classic dark green Christmas tree with stiff branches for heavy ornaments.

How a visit goes

Limited hours, first come, first served. The earlier you come, the more trees there are to choose from.

  1. A wide view across the farm pasture at sunset, with a gravel drive curving through the grass and wooded hills behind.

Drive out to Rushing Springs Road

Come out on one of the open days between 8 am to 4 pm. The farm is in Overton County, northeast of Cookeville.

  2. A child in a purple coat walks down a long grass lane between rows of Christmas trees.

    Walk the rows

Take your time in the cypress rows and pick the one that suits your room, or look over the pre-cut Fraser firs.

  3. A man and a young boy crouch at the base of a Christmas tree with a hand saw.

Cut it, or take a pre-cut

Cut your cypress low on the trunk, or choose a fir that is already cut and ready to go.

  4. A man carries a freshly cut Christmas tree on his shoulder toward a red pickup parked beside the rows.

    Load up and head home

Tie it down well for the drive, then get it into water the same day.
